此剧讲述一个社会底层生活的临时工都江秀，在面对因酗酒把家暴当成家常便饭的爸爸快就死亡时所作出之抉择的故事。。拥有神秘能力的探险少女赵琳，为寻找失踪的父亲，独自踏上了前往西域的探险旅途。在路上，赵琳偶然结识了同龄少年彭飞，以及意外变身狼崽的西域男孩孟孟，三人结伴前行。根据赵琳父亲笔记中留下的线索，他们一路破解谜题，对抗反派的阻击，探寻不为人知的古国。历经重重险阻，三人在寻找自己亲人的同时，也将古国的神秘宝典《生命之书》中的奥秘揭露在世人面前……。Odd little Western that gets off to a snappy start when a man (Matt Dow) is mistaken as a train robber. After the town's sheriff shoots the kid he's riding with, Dow clears his name and ends up as the new sheriff. He romances a Swedish woman and settles in to a peaceful life only to find that the boy has a few secrets of his own.。
