本剧讲述了被逼到人生悬崖边，讨厌家庭讨厌孩子的差劲男人大森一平，为了当选议员，和单身爸爸的妹夫和他的孩子们一起生活。在面对日常生活中的家庭、社会和日本问题的过程中，最差劲男与妹夫及其孩子们一点点建立起像真正家庭一样的关系，并逐渐开始想要创造一个更好的社会，最终认真地参加选举而成为候选人，描绘了“日本第一最差劲男人”为了改变家庭、社会以及日本而奋斗的身姿。。The story takes us back to 1889, in the wake of primary school teacher Louise Violet who is sent to a village in the French countryside to enforce Republic schooling (which is free, compulsory and secular).
