洪门成员盲蛇经历十几年牢狱生涯后出狱，盲蛇当年的小弟Sam（古天乐 饰）带了一群小弟接风，其中也包括了还未满十八岁、一心混迹帮派的阿辉（梁烈唯 饰）。阿辉父亲早逝，母亲改嫁，和奶奶相依为命，然而他不求上进，好勇斗狠。在一次江湖混战中，阿辉出手伤人，和同门阿龙（陈键锋 饰）一同被判入教导所一年。在教导所里，阿辉和阿龙要面对赐官等其他帮派分子的挑衅，还要接受主任张Sir（吴瑞廷 饰）和福利官黄Sir（雷宇扬 饰）的管教。在教官的循循善诱中，阿辉化解了赐官的威胁，也渐渐明白了奶奶对自己不离不弃的爱，还有人生的意义……。Mid-August in Paris (the title is a date: August 15) in a sunny, quiet apartment a young woman talks, thinks, reflects about herself, everyday life and little events in a long, uninterrupted monologue.
